Local law enforcement officers are trading in their uniforms for aprons this Thursday, Sept. 20 from 4:30 to 8:30 pm in the hopes of raising funds for an important cause. Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar will be hosting its “Law and Orders” fundraiser to support the Special Olympics athletes across New York State. This is one of Applebee’s many ways of contributing to the local communities. Since this program was started in 2008, law enforcement officers in New York State have raised more than $115,000 for the New York State Special Olympics athletes.
Come and meet these officers who will not be enforcing the law, but instead serving customers, busing tables and hopefully collecting tips for Special Olympics athletes. This is an excellent opportunity to be served a great meal in an unconventional fashion and most importantly support a great cause.
